Pennsylvania HB793 mandates Holocaust, genocide, and human rights instruction in schools.

Pennsylvania HB793 requires the Department of Education to develop curriculum guidelines for Holocaust, genocide, and human rights instruction. These guidelines must specify the minimum instruction needed for adequate education on these topics. The Department must consult with experts and organizations to create these guidelines, which will be posted on their website. School entities must also post primary resources and course syllabi on their websites, updated every three years. The act takes effect 60 days after enactment.
