Pennsylvania HB726 amends the Public School Code of 1949 to address capital investment needs of school entities.
Pennsylvania HB726 amends the Public School Code of 1949 by adding an article on capital investment needs. The Department of Education will conduct a one-time survey of each school entity to assess their current capital investment needs, including physical, digital, sanitary, and curricular infrastructure. The survey will also cover resilience and climate requirements. School entities must report on delayed or deferred capital projects, current and future infrastructure costs, and equipment purchased since January 2020.
