Introduced Text

Pennsylvania HB716 amends the Wage Payment and Collection Law to clarify employer duties regarding employee notification and posting requirements.

Pennsylvania HB716 amends the Wage Payment and Collection Law to require employers to notify employees at the time of hiring about the time and place of payment, the rate of pay, and any fringe benefits or wage supplements. Employers can fulfill this duty by posting the information conspicuously at the workplace. If wages and benefits are detailed in a collective bargaining agreement, employers can rely on that agreement to meet the notification requirement. Employers must also keep a summary of the act and related regulations available to employees.
