Pennsylvania HB712 mandates local exchange telecommunications companies to report 911 system outages to the commission immediately upon discovery.

Pennsylvania HB712 amends Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to require local exchange telecommunications companies to report any 911 system outages to the commission as soon as they are discovered. The commission has the authority to consider non-compliance with this reporting requirement as a violation of service and facilities standards. The act will take effect 60 days after its enactment.
