Pennsylvania HB706 amends Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to establish a $19 fee for a license to carry a firearm. This fee includes a $1.50 renewal notice processing fee and a $5 administrative fee under the Sheriff Fee Act. The governing authority of a county may waive these fees for honorably discharged veterans of the United States armed forces or individuals aged 65 or older, after consultation with the sheriff or, in a city of the first class, the chief of police. The act will take effect in 60 days.
