Pennsylvania HB630 amends the Equal Pay Law to prohibit employers from paying different wages to employees based on sex, race, or ethnicity unless justified by a seniority system, merit system, production-based earnings, or other business necessity. Employers are also prohibited from requiring employees to refrain from discussing wages, relying on wage history for hiring decisions, or retaliating against employees for opposing wage discrimination.
