Pennsylvania HB622 amends the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act by adding a subsection that imposes stricter penalties for violations involving fentanyl or its analogues. Specifically, any person who knowingly or intentionally violates certain clauses with respect to fentanyl or a controlled substance containing fentanyl faces a felony charge. Upon conviction, the offender may be sentenced to imprisonment not exceeding twenty years, a fine not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars, or both.
