Pennsylvania HB534 amends the Pennsylvania Election Code to allow blind, visually impaired, or disabled electors to request special absentee ballots in braille. Electors must submit a written request to their county board of elections at least 45 days before an election. The request is valid for all elections in the calendar year it is received. The Department of State is responsible for preparing and distributing these ballots, aiming to make them machine-readable.
