Pennsylvania HB479 amends voter registration laws to include same-day registration and sets procedures for provisional ballots.

Pennsylvania HB479 amends Title 25 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to expand voter registration methods. It allows qualified electors to register on election day by appearing in person at their polling place, submitting a same-day voter registration application, and providing proof of identification and residence. Acceptable forms of identification include driver's licenses, government-issued identification cards, U.S. passports, and U.S. Armed Forces identification cards. The judge of elections must issue a provisional ballot upon certifying the elector's eligibility.
