Pennsylvania HB463 prohibits speculative ticketing practices by resellers.
HB463 amends the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law to prohibit speculative ticketing acts or practices. Resellers cannot advertise, offer for sale, or accept consideration for a ticket unless an official presale or onsale has occurred, and the rights holder or operator has consented in writing. Resellers also cannot use domain names, trademarks, or names similar to those of rights holders or operators without authorization. The Attorney General can enforce this section, and injured parties can bring private actions to recover damages.
