Pennsylvania HB408 provides a supplemental annuity for eligible retirees beginning July 1, 2025.
Pennsylvania HB408 amends Titles 24 and 71 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to provide a supplemental annuity for eligible benefit recipients starting July 1, 2025. The supplemental annuity is payable in addition to existing supplemental annuities and is based on the retiree's most recent effective date of retirement. The amount of the supplemental annuity varies from 10% to 20% of the monthly annuity payment, depending on the retiree's retirement date. The supplemental annuity is not payable to those receiving a withdrawal annuity before reaching superannuation age.
