Pennsylvania HB40 amends Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to expand the relief available in protection from abuse cases. The bill allows courts to order defendants to wear electronic monitoring devices if they pose an immediate and present danger of physical abuse to plaintiffs or minor children. These devices must notify law enforcement and plaintiffs of any violations and allow for communication with the defendant.
