Pennsylvania HB339 mandates daily mental health check-ins for students in kindergarten through grade twelve.

HB339 requires Pennsylvania schools to implement daily mental health check-ins for students in kindergarten through grade twelve. The policy must include procedures for identifying and responding to students experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or at risk of suicide or self-harm. The Department of Education will develop a model policy and make it available to all school entities and nonpublic schools upon request. The act takes effect 60 days after enactment.
