Introduced Text

Pennsylvania HB327 establishes a continuous maintenance permit for watercourses, water obstructions, appurtenant works, and encroachments.

Pennsylvania HB327 amends the Dam Safety and Encroachments Act to create a continuous maintenance permit for the Department of Transportation and municipalities. The permit allows permittees to maintain, inspect, and monitor specified watercourses, water obstructions, appurtenant works, and encroachments. The permit is valid for at least 10 years and can be extended if there are no violations. Permittees must provide annual maintenance project summaries and can amend the permit with department approval.
