Pennsylvania HB286 establishes a senior citizen property tax freeze for eligible homeowners.

Pennsylvania HB286 amends Title 53 to introduce a senior citizen property tax freeze. Eligible claimants must own and reside in their home for at least 10 years and meet age or disability criteria. Household income must not exceed $45,000 annually. The Department of Revenue will develop a standardized application form, and political subdivisions will notify the department of granted tax freezes. The freeze remains in effect as long as the claimant meets eligibility requirements.
