Pennsylvania HB2732 amends the Real Estate Tax Sale Law to offer protection to senior homeowners facing financial hardship from property tax sale. Eligible property owners, defined as those aged 65 or older, who own and occupy the property as their principal residence and demonstrate financial hardship, can apply for protection. The Department of Community and Economic Development, in consultation with the bureau, will develop uniform application forms and documentation requirements. The bureau will review continued eligibility every two years.
