Pennsylvania HB2687 amends the Public Official Compensation Law to adjust the salaries of public officials and General Assembly members based on cost-of-living increases. The bill specifies that the annual cost-of-living adjustment will be calculated using the lesser of two indices: the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) for the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland area, and the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) nationwide.
