Pennsylvania HB2668 amends Titles 8 and 11 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to allow boroughs and cities to levy additional taxes for police department support. Boroughs can levy up to 30 mills for general purposes and up to three mills for police support, following a favorable referendum. Cities can also levy up to three mills for police support, again contingent on a favorable referendum. The act takes effect 60 days after enactment.
