Introduced Text

Pennsylvania HB2654 amends vehicle registration fees, exempting certain volunteers from fees.

Pennsylvania HB2654 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to further provide for the exemption of persons, entities, and vehicles from fees. Specifically, it exempts volunteers from paying a registration fee for vehicles registered by them. However, a processing fee of $11 is imposed to cover the costs of issuing or renewing the registration for these volunteers. This change applies to volunteers of volunteer fire companies and nonprofit emergency medical services agencies. The act takes effect in 60 days.
