Pennsylvania HB2648 prohibits health insurers from altering coverage during the term of a health insurance policy.

Pennsylvania HB2648 amends Title 40 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to add a chapter prohibiting health insurers from altering coverage during the term of a health insurance policy. This includes prohibiting increases in premiums, copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles for health care services that were included in the policy. The prohibitions do not apply to health care services obtained through fraudulent or criminal activity or those subject to safety concerns by the FDA.
