Pennsylvania HB2549 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to allow individuals renewing their driver's license or vehicle registration electronically to contribute $5 for communication access for the deaf and hard of hearing. The contribution is added to the regular fee for renewal. The Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will use these contributions exclusively for their programs. The Department of Transportation will report the total amount received to the State Treasurer, who will transfer the funds.
