Pennsylvania HB2534 mandates transparency and disclosure requirements for generative AI systems and large online platforms.

HB2534, known as the Artificial Intelligence Transparency Act, requires covered providers of generative AI systems to offer users a manifest disclosure identifying AI-generated content and provide an AI detection tool. It mandates latent disclosures in AI-generated content and prohibits collecting personal information from users of the detection tool. Large online platforms must detect and display provenance data and digital signatures in AI-generated content. Generative AI system hosting platforms must ensure systems include required disclosures.
