Pennsylvania HB2514 amends alimony laws to deny support to abusive parties and consider abuse in alimony decisions.

Pennsylvania HB2514 modifies alimony provisions in divorce cases by denying alimony to parties found to have abused the other during the marriage. The court must consider abuse when determining alimony, defined under section 6102. The bill also mandates that marital misconduct from the date of final separation should not be considered in alimony decisions. This act will take effect in 60 days.
