Pennsylvania HB2499 amends the State Workers' Insurance Fund's investment rules.

HB2499 amends the State Workers' Insurance Fund's investment rules by allowing the board to invest surplus or reserve in securities or indebtedness to the State Treasurer. The bill also permits up to 20% of the fund's assets to be invested in equity investments, overriding certain other laws. The State Treasurer will manage these investments, collecting principal and interest and paying for securities upon requisition. The changes take effect 60 days after the act's passage.
