The bill establishes the Firefighter Cancer Screening Program and the Firefighter Cancer Screening Fund in Pennsylvania. The program provides eligible firefighters with access to benefits cards to cover out-of-pocket costs for annual cancer screenings not covered by their health insurance. The fund receives a one-time supplemental transfer of $50,000,000 from the Budget Stabilization Reserve Fund to support the program. Eligible firefighters must be career or volunteer firefighters who responded to at least 15 fire or rescue emergencies in the previous year.
