Pennsylvania HB2382 provides for temporary budget authority in the absence of an enacted general appropriation act. If the General Assembly has not enacted a general appropriation act by the first day of a fiscal year, the State Treasurer can pay money out of the State Treasury for any item that was appropriated in the prior fiscal year's general appropriation act. Payments are limited to 85% of the amount appropriated for the corresponding item in the prior fiscal year.
