It expands the definition of "personal injury sustained in the line of duty" to include these conditions, even if undiagnosed, if exposure to traumatic events was a substantial factor. The act also updates the title to reflect the expanded coverage and applies retroactively to January 1, 2019. This act is referred to as Bryan's Law.
