Pennsylvania HB2307 amends special education funding to increase reimbursements for extraordinary expenses.

Pennsylvania HB2307 amends the Public School Code of 1949 to adjust the distribution of special education appropriations for extraordinary expenses. For the 2016-2017 through 2025-2026 school years, 1% of the special education appropriation is allocated to school districts and charter schools for expenses exceeding the maximum threshold of Category 3A. Starting from the 2026-2027 school year, this allocation increases to 2%.
