Pennsylvania HB2219 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to prohibit the use of registration plate obscuring devices on motor vehicles. These devices are defined as those that enable a registration plate to be switched between two or more plates or hide the registration plate from view. The bill also updates the offense of using such devices, imposing a fine of $2,000 for violations. The act takes effect in 60 days.
