Pennsylvania HB2174 prohibits law enforcement agencies from sharing automated license plate reader information for investigations that interfere with.

Pennsylvania HB2174 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to prohibit law enforcement agencies from selling, sharing, allowing access to, or transferring automated license plate reader information to any federal, state, or local governmental agency for investigations that deny or interfere with a person's right to obtain medical services. Before sharing such information, law enforcement agencies must obtain a written declaration from the requesting agency affirming that the information will not be used in a manner that violates this prohibition.
