Pennsylvania HB2102 amends the Pennsylvania Amber Alert System to include the Missing Endangered Person Advisory System and Pennsylvania Purple Alert.

Pennsylvania HB2102 amends the Pennsylvania Amber Alert System to include the Missing Endangered Person Advisory System (MEPAS) and Pennsylvania Purple Alert System. The Pennsylvania State Police will establish and maintain these systems to assist in the recovery of missing individuals. The Purple Alert System targets individuals with intellectual, developmental, cognitive, or neurological conditions who are at special risk of harm. The bill also provides immunity from civil liability for those who assist in these alerts, except for acts of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
