Pennsylvania HB2089 mandates electric vehicle charging stations in new nonresidential buildings.

Pennsylvania HB2089 amends the Uniform Construction Code to require electrical service capacity for electric vehicles in new nonresidential buildings. For parking lots with fewer than 25 spaces, at least one level 1 charging space is required. For lots with 25 to 499 spaces, 2% must be level 1 charging spaces, with additional requirements for specific facilities. For lots with 500 or more spaces, 1% must be level 1 charging spaces, with additional requirements for specific facilities.
