Pennsylvania HB2064 amends Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to modify the automation fee for initiating actions or legal proceedings in second class A and third through eighth class counties. The automation fee, which can be up to $10, is collected by the clerk of courts and deposited into a special fund for automation and updates. The fee can increase once every three years, but the increase cannot exceed the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers over the preceding three years.
