Pennsylvania HB1998 amends the Workers' Compensation Act to require employers to establish a list of at least six designated health care providers for employee medical treatments and services. If the employer provides such a list, the Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund will only reimburse expenses for treatments rendered by the designated providers. Employees must notify the employer within five days if they receive treatment from a non-designated provider. Failure to notify will relieve the employer from liability for the payment of services rendered.
