Pennsylvania HB1940 proposes a Fish PA registration plate for vehicles, funded by a $43 fee.
Pennsylvania HB1940 amends vehicle registration laws to introduce a special Fish PA plate. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, in consultation with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, will hold a design contest for the plate, open to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The winning design, featuring a brook trout and the phrase "Fish PA," will be used for the plate. Applicants can obtain the plate by paying a $43 fee, in addition to the standard registration fee. The plate can only be used on vehicles with a gross weight of up to 14,000 pounds.
