Exempts retired individuals on fixed incomes from driver's license fees in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania HB1870 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to exempt retired individuals on fixed incomes from driver's license fees. Specifically, it exempts those who are retired and receiving Social Security or other pension and whose total annual income does not exceed $29,906. The income threshold will be adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers. Instead of the fee, a processing fee of $12 will be charged for each issuance or renewal of a driver's license or identification card. This act will take effect 60 days after its passage.
