Pennsylvania HB1848 amends the Insurance Company Law of 1921 to require health insurance policies and government programs to provide coverage for medically necessary physical, occupational, and speech therapies for individuals under 21 years of age. The coverage cannot have deductibles, maximum benefit amounts, or limits on the number of visits. Copayments or coinsurance may apply. The bill also establishes the Children's Therapies Medical Assistance Savings Account to increase access to these therapies for children in the Early Intervention Program or under a government program.
