Pennsylvania HB1838 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to clarify the cost-sharing arrangement for traffic-control signals at intersections. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will pay for the costs associated with the installation and maintenance of traffic-control signals on State-designated highways. If a State-designated highway intersects with a highway under local authority, the Department will cover the costs in proportion to the number of State-designated highways at the intersection, with the local authority covering the remaining balance.
