Pennsylvania HB1757 establishes a voluntary firefighter cancer registry to collect and analyze data on cancer incidence among firefighters.

Pennsylvania HB1757 amends Title 35 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to establish a voluntary firefighter cancer registry. The registry will collect demographic, occupational, and health information from firefighters to identify trends in cancer incidence. The Department of Health will make registry data available to the public and for research purposes, while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws.
