Pennsylvania HB1741 amends the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program to prioritize cover crop projects.

Pennsylvania HB1741 amends the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program by ensuring that at least 15% of funds apportioned to each conservation district are awarded for cover crop projects. If a district receives fewer applications for cover crop projects than the required 15%, the remaining funds can be allocated to other best management practices. This bill also updates definitions related to best management practices and cover crops. The changes will take effect 60 days after the act's passage.
