Pennsylvania HB1712 amends Title 35 to enhance emergency communications within the Commonwealth. The bill mandates the agency to maintain an integrated communications capability for weather advisories, river forecasts, and emergency preparedness functions. It also requires the establishment of a single Statewide telephone number for reporting radioactive and hazardous materials incidents and for legislative branch communication during weather emergencies. The act shall take effect in 60 days.
