Pennsylvania HB1709 amends the Public School Code to mandate that public institutions of higher education credit adjunct and part-time faculty members with specific hours when completing the employment certification form for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. For lecture or classroom time, these faculty members must be credited with at least 3.35 hours worked for each hour of instruction. For noninstructional assignments, faculty members must be credited hour for hour.
