Pennsylvania HB1691 amends the Unemployment Compensation Law to change the qualifications for receiving unemployment compensation. It requires an individual to have worked ten credit weeks and earned remuneration for services in an amount equal to or in excess of fifteen times their weekly benefit rate. This change does not apply to suspensions of work due to a leave of absence if the individual made a reasonable effort to return to work. The act will take effect six months after its passage.
