Pennsylvania HB1670 mandates hearing aid coverage in certain health insurance policies.

Pennsylvania HB1670 amends the Insurance Company Law of 1921 to require insurers underwriting Medicare or Medicaid insurance to provide coverage for hearing aids in licensed policies. This applies to various types of health insurance policies, including accident only, credit only, long-term care, and more. The coverage must include a benefit of at least $2,500 every three years, usable with either a hearing aid seller or a contracted fitter.
