Pennsylvania HB1642 amends state law to restrict extradition and service of process for reproductive health care-related offenses.

Pennsylvania HB1642 amends Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to modify procedures involving reproductive health care services. Courts of record in Pennsylvania cannot order service on individuals for matters in foreign tribunals involving reproductive health care services. Additionally, peace officers from other states cannot arrest individuals in Pennsylvania for reproductive health care-related offenses. The Governor of Pennsylvania also lacks authority to extradite individuals for such offenses unless specific conditions are met. This act takes effect in 60 days.
