Pennsylvania HB1641 prohibits insurers from taking adverse actions against health care providers for offering legal reproductive health care services.

HB1641 amends the Medical Care Availability and Reduction of Error Act to prohibit insurers from taking adverse actions against health care providers who offer legal reproductive health care services to out-of-state patients. Adverse actions include refusing to renew or execute a contract, reporting practices to entities, or changing terms of coverage. This protection applies to health care providers offering services permitted under Pennsylvania law.
