Introduced Text

Pennsylvania HB1638 ensures reproductive freedom by allowing providers to remain anonymous on prescription labels for mifepristone or misoprostol.

Pennsylvania HB1638, known as the Ensuring Reproductive Freedom by Shielding Our Providers Act, allows healthcare providers to request that their health care practice name, rather than their personal name, appear on prescription labels for mifepristone or misoprostol. This act aims to protect the anonymity of providers, ensuring they are not publicly identified on prescriptions. If a provider requests this anonymity, dispensers or pharmacies must comply by using the practice name instead. This act takes effect 30 days after enactment.
