Pennsylvania HB1628 extends pregnancy-related and postpartum medical assistance eligibility for up to an additional twelve months.

Pennsylvania HB1628 amends the Human Services Code to extend eligibility for pregnancy-related and postpartum medical assistance. Women receiving medical assistance who are not otherwise eligible for welfare laws and have income below 215% of the Federal poverty income guidelines can receive this extended assistance. The Department of Human Services must seek a State plan amendment or Federal waiver if needed.
