Pennsylvania HB1585 amends Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to prohibit the publishing or disseminating of booking photographs for commercial use. A booking photograph is defined as a photograph or image of an individual generated by law enforcement for identification purposes. Engaging in such activities while soliciting or accepting payment or other consideration constitutes a misdemeanor of the second degree. Each payment or consideration accepted in violation of this section constitutes a separate violation.
