Pennsylvania HB158, known as the Fairness in Women's Sports Act, requires that athletic teams and sports in public institutions of higher education and public school entities be expressly designated as male, female, or coed. The act also allows students, schools, and government entities to bring legal actions for harms resulting from violations, including injunctive relief, damages, and attorney fees. The act takes effect 60 days after enactment.
